MEET THE PROBUILDER TEAM

The greatest asset of a company is its people and I am truly lucky to have the team.  The team supports me in my quest to become a better builder & to offer a truly professional building service.

You’re in good hands as our team brings a combined 102 years of building experience & the very talented Laura, who’s in the engine room keeping everything running smoothly!

Each and everyone of these people are what makes ProBuilder and ProBuilder Repairs the company it is today and I am truly grateful for their service.

We are especially proud that Rose McIntyre was a finalist in the 2020 HIA QLD Building Women Awards for the Business Development Professional category – this award recognises those who have a proven track record of exceptional customer service, business development skills and product knowledge to achieve successful outcomes for clients and busines.

Probuilder Team 2021 b

JIM McINTYRE

Hello I’m Jim McIntyre. The principle & founder of ProBuilder, established 1990. Please allow me to introduce the amazing team who help make ProBuilder such a success and of course a little more about me.

I have been involved in the building industry since 1984. My father Norm McIntyre was a long standing Brisbane builder and it was only natural that I follow in his footsteps and completed my carpentry & joinery apprenticeship with him.

Norm ran a small building business where customer service and a loyal long standing client base were the hallmarks of his success. Repeat work and client referrals ensured he was always busy.

Today my business ProBuilder, follows in his footsteps. I’m very proud to continue representing his ethics, customer focus and providing hassle free quality building projects.

ROSE McGUIRE

HIA Award Finalist - Probuilder (1)
You’ll know you are being looked after when you meet ProBuilders client services manager Rose. From your initial enquiry right through to checking in on you 12 months after your project has been completed you’ll be dealing with Rose. She will look after you through the contract process then becomes involved in any assistance she can provide as your project progresses. Assisting with selections and introductions to our key suppliers and professionals from architects through to interior designers, showcasing selections to you at home and searching for that one off item, her dedication to providing an outstanding customer experience shines through.

Most days Rose will pop in on your site to make sure everything is running smoothly and view the works from a client’s perspective – that the sites are clean, tidy and safe at the end of each working week. Coming from a career in education as a distance education teacher and mother of 3 children she is super organised and a very valuable ProBuilder member.

STEFFAN COLE

Steffen is a very talented individual and we are privileged to have him as part of the team. ProBuilder would not be what it is today without his input and assistance.

Steffen hails from NZ. He completed his apprenticeship in the late 80’s in commercial construction in Auckland. Soon after completing his apprenticeship he moved to Samoa to help rebuild the 2 islands which were flattened by one of the worst tropical cyclones to hit Polynesia, Cyclone Ofa. He then returned home to Auckland and spent time on renovations and new homes before broadening his horizons where he spent 2.5 years working in the US on high end renovations.

Steffen had one more stint back home in NZ working on major renovations and homes on Auckland harbour before moving with his family to Australia in 2011. Building swimming pools plus building speciality items for clients such as large entry doors, dining and coffee tables is one of his hidden talents. Steffen has a fine eye for detail and works very well with clients and is always a hit with their children being a father of 4 girls himself.

A prouder kiwi you won’t meet and we’re lucky to have him down under!

STUART McVEAN

Introducing Stu, the elder statesman from ProBuilder. Stu has been in the building industry, working all over Australia for 40+ years. He originally started by completing his apprenticeship with his father building new homes for AV Jennings, a project builder who are still around today. After his apprenticeship Stu went into a partnership for 30 years where he built all around Australia.

Stuart has worked successfully in most areas of the building industry including fitting out all of the new shops in the Body Shop chain. On top of this he’s also a licenced rigger, dogman and crane driver.

Stu is our Go-To-Man whenever we have a tricky building problem to resolve. His knowledge base with renovation and extension works is amazing and we are extremely lucky to have Stu as part of the team.
